Job Details:

Facilitates patient access to the delivery of patient care through completing the patient admission/registration process, while supporting functions and communication among team members, under the supervision of Patient Account Supervisors.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Keyboarding (Computer Experience) required.
Capable of collecting, documenting and managing collections of Accounts Receivable.
Insurance knowledge required.
Medical terminology preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must present a professional image.
Must be able to function under pressure.
Must maintain a professional attitude toward customers at all times.
Able to use good judgment and critical thinking skills to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solve.
Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served (see Job Description Addendum - Age Specific Competencies).
Must successfully pass registration competency test.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
